Janakpurdham, the kingdom of King Janak is one of the historical and religious cities of Nepal. It lies in the east southern of Nepal nearby Indian boarder. Janaki Temple dedicated to Goddess Sita is located at the heart of Janankpur. It is an example of ‘Hindu-Rajput’ architecture. This is considered as the most important model of the Rajput architecture in Nepal built by Queen Brisabhanu Kunwari of Tikamgarh from centra India in 1898 AD at a cost of rupees 900000.
